Zeke has just been released from prison and is living in the last place on Earth he ever wanted to be—his dead parents’ house in Rochester, New Hampshire. For years he drowned every memory of that house and his ruined childhood in whatever he could get his hands on. Now, newly straight-edge and wearing an ankle monitor, he’s forced to confront the truth that’s been crawling beneath his skin since he was a kid: his family’s past is drenched in the occult, dark magic, and a secret connection to the Granite State’s most haunted landmark, The Old Man of the Mountain.
Granite State Punk is a rare, gritty look at witches, addiction, and punk rock, written and created by Travis Gibb—a love letter to his New Hampshire hometown—with raw, grungy linework from Patrick Buermeyer that perfectly captures the DIY energy of the punk scene. In the follow-up issues, Granite State Punk: Breaking Edge drags Zeke to Hampton Beach and the resurrected wrath of Goody Cole, New Hampshire’s first convicted witch.
Perfect for fans of Preacher, The Umbrella Academy, and regional horror like Locke & Key. Pick up #1 from Scout Comics or support the series on Kickstarter.
